I am about to re point and repair an area of slabwork around a swimming pool. What mix mortar should I use for the pointing or should I use something different due to the chlorine contact when being used.
Class II mortar. As far as I know, the chlorine content is not harmful to the mortar pointing over the short-medium term, and you are more likely to have problems with natural weathering of the mortar before the chorine has any noticeable affect.
