I've got a few jobs coming up at large industrial premises and I know I'm going to be asked for our plant records - which we have - but they are too generic and not tailored to the machine in my opinion - what do you guys do (if at all?) and do you use something that can be downloaded, ie a simple checklist for each item of plant? Many thanks for your help in advance.

You'll get them from any decent machinery dealers such as JCB, New Holland etc and then you can tailor them to your own needs.

Though, as your plant is so old and not dealt anymore, you may have to ask one of them for a favour :D

Giles - we basically use a service sheet that we copied from our local plant hire firm but there are too in-depth - all I need is a basic walk-around visual check type of record sheet, not one that involves changing oils/filters etc

Do you know any of the Pavemac reps ?

They should be able to help you out.

Is your Bitelli not working out in Nigeria yet ?

I'm trying to talk them into buying my old Blaw Knox PF65B !
