I have acquired an old kango type f which I think must be around 40 or 50 years old which I am going to use to take up my concrete drive.

The tool itself works really well following a rewire but my problem is I don't know what oil goes in it. It has a small reservoir at the bottom and says I need special kango oil only but none of my local tool shops know anything about it!

I have filled it with snap on air tool oil and it works ok, but I was just wandering if anyone knew the proper oil viscosity that I should put in it?

Any information you guys have on this tool would be appreciated.

I use gear oil like an EP80/90.
Not sure if this is correct but it works for me.
I think any oil is better than no oil.

Thanks for the info, I figured any oil was better than none!, I might try some 80 actually as that'll be a bit thicker than the air tool oil I have in it now, which does leak out a bit!

We use a heavy grease same as on machine pins out of a grease gun.
