this is fairly common
its settlement
he will need to take up and relay the affected areas
not a big job
but all block paving settles to some extent
BTW CLS timber does not qualify as a straight edge
you need an ally straightedge
but it has dipped

If the landscaper/ paving contractor is prepared to come back and rectify the work, don't knock it. There are plenty of 'landscapers' (I use the term lightly) who seem to vanish off the face of the earth once the job has been done, so I would say it's the mark of a good company if the guy comes back and sorts out any issues. This obviously costs him time and money to sort out, so if he's decent enough to do this, then I would say that he probably wouldn't have skimped on the sub-base in the first place, especially if he has a good reputation to uphold. Unfortunately the Rogue Trader type of television programmes make customers fear the worst and assume that all landscapers/ paving contractors are cowboys - have a bit of faith and let the guy sort the problems out for you. If you continue to have problems, then there may be a bigger issue, but for now, give him a chance to rectify matters. Out of interest what sort of car is it?

Seems like everyone just wants an opportunity to make a big issue out of something these days - surely they haven't all been turned over! Sometimes there are actually some decent tradespeople out there who just have an off day.

I had a series of emails from the OP insisting I remove his posts. Unfortunately (or fortunately, perhaps) I was away with my granddaughter earlier this week and had no way of accessing the Brew Cabin innards, so it seems he's edited his own posts.

He was concerned that the contractor might be identifiable from the info provided and, in hindsight, the OP decided this might not be a good thing.
