I don't think it goes with this bungalow but it certainly is an eye catching installation and well done

any idea what the blocks are?

Ouch that hurts the eyes would look good on a Art Deco house from the sixties standing on its own . :D

i saw something similar at Tatton flower show 2 years ago

not my cup of tea but a good way of getting rid of all your odds and sods of blocks, personally I much rather use a skip :)

they are laying the pavements in wrexham town centre in something very similair, if not identical, a slightly more uniform pattern.

I wouldnt have it at home mick but like anything fashions change
20 years ago the majority of drives we did were concrete or slabs
fashion moved on
we fit a fair few kitchens 5-6 a year and 10 years ago kitchens were all oak/beech/maple effect

now 80% have a high gloss clean line look

i remember doing patios as a lad with the old man and it was buff and red chequer board every time

anyway cracked on and finished the drive

drive looks good, are you aware you phoned me while you was cutting as I could hear the saw going, I tried shouting down the mouth piece but you could not hear me :)

how long did it take you from sand layer to finished job?
looks crakcing, and i love the use of one size block too. much easier.
