Hi. I've just had a new Timber framed Garage installed, but came home to find a huge puddle inside. The framing sits directly on top of a single course of engineering brick (as advised). The brick course is laid directly onto the concrete slab (as advised). No DPC has been installed, nor was it recommended. The slab is bigger than the structure, to provide a narrow walkway all round. This has not been graded to shed water away from the brickwork. Can anyone suggest how I can prevent rainwater ingress into the building? Tanking? Internal fillet? External fillet? Flashing?....what would you recommend? Thanks in advance, JonathanMy Webpage

Does the garage have a gutter, or does the roof discharge all its water straight onto the path?
