I would appreciate any assistance.
I have had block paving on driveway for 12 years. Approx. 2 months ago I cleaned out the joints and replaced with kiln dried sand and sealed.
I have now noticed small bits of mud protruding from some of the joints and also slight movement on some of the paving bricks, as well as two slight cracks on two bricks.
What is the reason for the above and how should I address

It sounds like the blocks are moving and perhaps the sub-base is failing/ has failed. Best case scenario is that perhaps a combo of your powerwashing and some ants has removed some bedding material and the sub-base is ok. But that doesn't seem the most likely cause.
The mud is probably clay pumping up through the sub-base as the weight of the car moves the blocks.
Is it in a small confined area or all over the drive in various places?
It needs lifted checked out and relaid. If its an isolated spot it was possibly just a soft area or old roots of something that has rotted.

There is movement in a number of points
over the drive.
The area covers approx 50-60 m3

oh dear i don't have any good news for you...
Its fair to assume then that something is wrong. Most likely the sub-base was not excavated properly or was not deep enough.
You need to lift it check and possibly add more sub base and then re-lay.
IT's probably worth lifting a small section first and removing the sand bedding and checking depth of sub-base as any contractor will need to do that in order to confirm the problem anyway.

It's. To going to start randomly moving after 12 years, I think what has happened is you have jet washed the kiln out, then when you topped up the joints were wet(even when top is dry joints can still be wet) meaning the kiln has just filled the top, the. Locks. Then don't pass what I call a kick test (which is me putting pressure on the corners of the blocks by sort of kicking down) then what happens is the blocks can start to move.
Not saying that's definitely the case but I've seen it before.
A crap job usually moves pretty quick, that or you've had some heave perhaps.
