Tarmac drive - Quotes for work

Setts and cobbles, tarmac, asphalt, resin systems, concrete whether it's plain, patterned or stencilled, gravels, etc.

I want a drive of approx 130 sq m tarmaced, at present it appears to be a loose stone base compaced over 30 years of use.

I`ve had two quotes;, one from a utility company with a tarmac division, probably a "Rolls Royce" job 130mm base 70mm DBM tarmac, the other from a one man "company" a "Skoda" job 40mm base 25mm DBM.
The Rolls quote was £8800 inc. vat The Skoda quote was £5200.

Do you have any comments & can anyone recommend a suitable contractor in the Medway area ok Kent?

130mm base + 70mm surface is OTT for a private driveway, unless you have HGVs or land a private jet there. However, 40+25 is about as minimal as I;d ever want to go. I'd be much happier with 50+25.

Medway isn't my patch, so I can't help with recommendations.
