grandmak- it sounds like the resin bond has de-laminated from the tarmac base.
this is caused by the two different materials expanding/contracting by different amounts.
its the resin bond contractors problem to resolve. don't accept the bullshit they've given you.

As this was a very expensive job (thousands) over a large area, (260+ sq.m) it will take some putting right.
Have you got any tips as to how we can
a) prove this is what has happened and
b) get the installer to accept responsibility for putting it right,
which I assume would mean starting from scratch. I can't see them doing it without us being able to prove that this is the cause.
All suggestions gratefully received as this is a massive headache & worry for us, especially as the cracking appears to be spreading.
