Hello

When constructing new houses the NHBC recommend that any drainage to the back of a property is installed 5m away from the building for the construction of a future conservatory. Is this just guidance or can these be enforced by building control etc?

Thanks

pottles I would speak to your local BCO or consultant civil engineer
as someone who has built lots of new builds drains are generally around 600mm away from the building unless otherwise specified
most developers do not want additional costs eating in to their bottom line
