Dont you start as well Tony. All my mates used to call me Rodney when I was younger, by dint of the fact that I was a lanky streak of pish haha. I used to hate it but I can look back and laugh now

A few more shots of the new showroom. Its now very close to completion. Should be done in 2 weeks. Its well over due but we are passed caring now and just want to get it done.

Budget Sawn Paving range

Sandstone circles bordered with setts

Our range of tumbled paving going round a circular bed bordered with granite setts

Raised Pool with black basalt coping stone. Edge of coping is pencil rounded, same finish as recently supplied to the lout

The next three shots are Steps, pier caps, coping and paving all made from our buff Yorkstone. Its a new type we have recently sourced. Its very hard and has a consistent colour. All this material was cut from the block using our wire saw. The pier caps were made using the CNC saw

Next few shots are of our Grey Yorkstone. This was all cut from the block on our wire saw as well. This stone is seriously hard. The pillars are solid blocks of stone, which we had to crane in with one of our hiab's

This next bit is my favouritew. We wanted to make a bold feature when people arrived at the display so we decided to make these huge bespoke circles. The dark stone is blue grey granite and the light stone is German limestone. All the segments were cut on the CNC

And finally, my least favourite part. This is what happens to Portland stone when you dont use river washed sand and white cement as your mortar mix

what has happened steve?
has it leached cement up?
i know portland is soft

theres a painter someplace in west london who must have got his arse kicked for getting masonry paint all over the black basalt :;):
on picture number 2 sandstone circle with setts ,summat looks skewwhiff with those setts

my fave are those pier caps
I bet they are a pretty penny, but If they were £100 each it would be worth every penny IMHO

Portland is very porous and you need to use river washed sand and white cement ideally.
The setts do look a bit dodgy on that photo, must be the angle of the camera ???
