Good morning all,

I have just had my front drive block paved, approx 130sq/m, using stonemarket rio paviours, silver infill (light grey) with carbon edging (dark grey)

The issue we have is, the drive was completed yesterday and upon parking on it for the first time, every tyre mark stained the blocks, leaving black lines snaking all over my new drive.

I have emailed stonemarket but as its the weekend I'm not hopeful of response til next week.

In the meantime, I'm looking for advice on the sutuation and anything we can do reduce / stop the marks?!

Thanks guys
Thanks in advance...

like luton says its common in hot weather especially now some cars have soft rubber tyres (for what ever reason), I nearly installed a 140m2 driveway a few years ago with argent light as the main area and argent dark as the border and we laid out a couple of m2 of each and it was decided having the lighter colour as the main area would get dirty too quickly but would be a great complimentary border colour to the dark being the main area - basically the opposite to what you have got

sorry cant be more helpful but that's the reality of using a light colour for your driveway, if its any consolation over time it will weather in and be less noticeable to the eye

We had our drive paved with Marshalls Argent Light about July 2010. It's a sort of "Y" shaped drive with one fork going straight to the garage and the other twisting in an "S" across the garden to a two car parking area. To reverse into the parking part requires some twisting of the wheel. So far I've noticed no tyre marks although plenty of cars (and some trucks) of various kinds have been there. It gets full sun for much of the day.

What we do get is oil stains - but that's my fault for having a 1957 Land Rover.
We also have some small areas that have sunk slightly which one day I'll get someone to fix. (The original paver, who we were very pleased with, left the area some years ago.)
