Hi, wonder if anyone can advise me please. I have had work done in the garden 40m of fencing, relevel my garden, and 100 extra patio slabs around the existing patio. The problem I have now is the slabs he layed are coming loose, its only been 4 weeks.
The original patio has been down for 2.5 years and only 1 loose?.
He removed some garden with a machine to accomodate the extra patio slabs, and has layed the slabs using a five point method.
Can anyone tell me if the method he used will result in my new slabs all coming loose?

there is no such thing as the 5 point method
to be laid correctly it needs to be on a full bed
sadly it will all fail
sooner rather than later

yer that works ok ...

as tony says its no good...

you need to give the contractor the opportunity to correct it... im afraid, write to him and ask him to write back stating what he is going to do to put it right...

I can see from that link you have had him back and from that picture its no good ....

in simple terms it all needs redoing properly with a proper sub base and a full bed of mortar...

put this to him and see what he says,

you need to do it in writing that way you have proof you have asked, should you need it at a latter date .... such as court claims!!

he is spot on
your patio is not fit for the purpose
