in fairness to cookie I personally like the warts and all approach

you cant make an omlette without breaking eggs :;):

I know some on here prefer before and after pics, but if you are going to be around someone's house for 6 weeks no point them thinking it will be like DIY SOS "all done in a day"

there will be inconvenient days

but the ends justifies the means
IMHO

Jeez, it must take a fair while just to dry lay all the setts, never mind laying the things. Do you lay them dry to work out the patttern or is it just to have them close to hand?

I cant say i remember him cookie but looking at his record he fought the best Britain had in the late 80s
big bad james oyebola, jess harding (who i have met)
donovan razor ruddock,glenn mccrory
and herbie hide
not a fantastic record but you need connections in pro boxing to get the right fights, the best boxer I ever saw in luton was "freezing" frank storey
but he couldnt get a management team or a deal and so stayed as an amateur

jordan reynolds is red hot right now,
jordan reynolds
he will be a world champion mark my words
he has knocked out 5 in a row in the ABA finals
cheers LLL :)

Just a question Cookie. Don't you find using the lazer so often a pain? Not questioning the masters' way of doing things. Have you tried an outer ring of lamp irons, one at the centre, set your fall with a string line all around the outer and on the inner at 20 ml above the height. Use a 20 ml rip and as you lay each course just try the ply so that it barely touches the line, therEby giving you the correct height. Only a question i am interested in how it would go, as that is how i lay pipes using a string line. No offence intended before any one suggests :;):

yes shaun i used lines on all my circles before but this is 20 meters across in parts all falling to the . would be to many lines and we need to bring in screed for every row .the laser is set at ground level have the receiver on piece of wood and the Apache reads in mm i only check every meter on each course then tamp them with a piece of oak .if you stop vid you can see what i do.it does make life more bearable :D
