back at the factory, electricians spiking the cables, use a blank 45 cal cartridge to fire a metal pin through the cores and short them out to prove they are dead before cutting them so we can work

nice work Giles
I thought you didnt like volumetrics?
and why did the pipe work have bends in it,looks a fairly easy site for straight runs,or are there other factors at work?
cheers LLL :)

Yeah deeper foundation on the toe to avoid and a step in on the left shaped building

we were shallow on the fall due to being 5m down in the ground 1.2m across 19 m so just enough

Structural engineer for the builder insisted on 'designing' them and then signed off on a right mess of a connection to the sewer, I wanted two 1200 rings benched etc they've gone for a cut two ad4000 and a y despite my protests we only dug it left them to it, said I wouldn't put my name to it

builder sorted it! barrowmix that used to be aardvark. he orderd 9m3 for the over site they gave us 9m3 had 2,5m left which would have finished and they left saying it was for other job. i had to get my volumetrics lads in to finish of, but builder still had them back the next day to do teh extra cube, id never use them again after doing that to us.

ive been using them more of late, use rt mycocks at the factory for 1.2m c40 here and there for the machine pits etc and no waiting time which is handy when running 14m3 with a 1 ton dumper

use cemex for the bigger pours,

been impressed with rt mycocks you get the right mix floats up well and can finish it, the c20 from barrowmix was basically gravel with a bit of sand init

Hate to see pipework especially plastic up on bricks. Why no bedding to support the pipes all along? When it's done like that the pipes get knocked out of line and pushed down and up unequally. Just a bug bear of mine.
