I know this is a matter of personal taste but was just wondering what colour pointing people tended to use for this type of paving which is a buff yellowish colour , very similar to Marshalls Yorkstone Heritage paving.
Most of my house walls and garden retaining walls are old yellow stock bricks and the fences are a brownish colour.
As there is some brown blotches in the paving I was thinking of going with a dark brown colour pointing.
Any advice appreciated.

Dark brown or a nearly-black sounds good to me.

I don't like white or pale mortars because they inevitably get dirty and darken over time. Using a red or marigold colour would give you the Noddy's House for One look, so definitely one of the darker shades.
