Giles does that pipe cutter de-burr the end of the pipe in the same action as it cuts the pipe or do you still have to file the end ?

A little bit, not to the extent like when cutting copper but they connect easy enough not had to file the ones we've done so far, just makes getting a good cut easier. I made a deeper mitre block and used to usa a hand saw but didn't always have it with me and nothing worse on new ics than not square cuts perfect poo catchers

Can't help thinking Giles but is a building site a safe place for kids these days? I know he is away from your machine but he is also on your blind side. Makes me think of the young lad in Cyprus who they think got buried. Not condemning you, it's just my opinion.
Also it's not making mats it's prefabing ( prefabricating ) them, it's akin to saying: the cement has arrived instead of concrete. Sorry just a little bug bear :;):

I hear you tony, but since there is a manhole for the soakaway nearby, I assumed it was ok to clean it out there?

what about the smells coming up the gully on a combined system ?dig dug dan wrote:I hear you tony, but since there is a manhole for the soakaway nearby, I assumed it was ok to clean it out there?
we always use a P trap and a single hopper head, its easier to cut paving in to a square gully than a round bottle type trap even though the bottle trap has a rodding access
nice tidy job though

No smells as its a soakaway only.
How about I fit one of these
It will help me reduce its height

Yeah thats what I use, square topped roddable bottle gullies. Easy to work around both in tar and paving.
