Hi all,

Quick query having done a lot of searches (both on here and the web) and drawn a blank. Any recommendations for anywhere I could hire a mini crusher for use on-site in the Durham area?

We're clearing site and there'll be combination of concrete flooring, semi-rotten thermalite blocks (used for external walls!) and breezeblocks that I'd like to reuse for either a farm track or in new stable floors, etc.

Many thanks for any pointers!

Im from the NW and TCP leeds drove all the way over to Preston to drop one off for a two day hire, very helpful bunch.

Just to update if it helps anyone, TCP Leeds are quite happy to come up to Durham with this kit specifically and probably other stuff as well. Cheers.

dont use thermalites as hardcore. no good

Why is that? Do they just go to mush? Would they not even be any good under concrete in an enclosed stable floor? Thanks for the post btw.

its always been a no no for thermalites and clinker type blocks
think they degrade when in contact with water
clean bricks or concrete blocks

Cheers LLL - will try and find something else for it. I have heard it makes a good substrate for a green / living roof!
