I have been asked to price roughly 80m of post and 2 rail plus 600mm wire stock fencing
waiting for a reply off a fencing contractor who seems reluctant to give it
what would a ballpark figure be per metre for this type of fencing
needs to contain horses
cheers LLL

3 rail post and rail with 5x3 posts £18/m (thats for over 100m though, less the price goes up)

Edit: miss read that is that with some sheep wire attached to the post and rail not 600 metres of it?

A 50m roll of standard sheep wire is £50 a roll with the vat but we don't like putting it near horses really for fear of hoof entanglement

Remember to have the rail on the side the horses push from so they are pushing against the posts not the nails

Stock fencing with 2 strand plain wire on the top £3.60/m

They are the national contractor prices as of last week or so but you can only make it pay with a post driver even an auger is to slow.

We can do 150m post and rail a day

Stock fencing is tough is all about the tension in the wire I'd sub it if I were you or I can talk you through it.

Took me a good few thousand metres to get good at stock
