Hi, On the web pages it seems attenuation and soakaway are a little confused. I need to create an attenuation chamber to limit the inflow of water into the mains drainage. A soakaway is not an option (solid clay!). You can buy a garastor at a vast price, but I intend to do my own.

I will use crates to form the 'tank' but what about the manhole/attenuation chamber?

it should really be designed by an engineer to meet the regs of flow in = space required to slow it down = required flow out

basically its a holding tank so outfall wants to be on the other side and set at lower height that inlet

according to sewers for adoption 7 you need to involve the relevant water authority in the design and adoption of it

says there should be a surface operated bypass as well incase of a blockage
