Whats the smallest compressor it can be ran off? Dont fancy a big C35 . Is it possible to run it off a portable 25 ltr jobbie?

No, well I guess the smallest might buy not the bigger ones. What size are you thinking?

A 45mm one, just looks like a neat bit of kit, but if you have to drag a huge compressor with it, the spade would look like a better option.

I run grundomats upto 110mm, a 45 will run from a single tool road tow compressor, you need a 100psi out put and storage volume, a workshop compressor wont run one, but i have a grundopressor which is a small petrol engine compressor to run 45mm mole, sometimes see them on ebay but they are 2-3k to buy if you need any advice PM me MSH :)

Oooh, ta!
Ive seen a few with the hose and storage can ,cheap on fleabay. Thought it might be a decent addition to the collection. But if Im looking at a trailer mounted compressor, or a 3k genny, I might have a look at a new grafter + pick

There are often 45mm on ebay, but most need a good service and new cutter head and tail hose a 45 cutter head is £80 tail hose £35 from TTUK so if you are gonna buy take a good look also there are alot of essig impact moles masqurading as grundomats which are a poor substitute, there is alot to learn about moling not as easy as putting it in the ground, last year i lost a 110mm mole down a culvert never to be found very depressing MSH :)
