Well I went to work Monday morning like we all do feeling fine, by the end of the day I could not see much out of my left eye.

Decided to pop down the hospital on the way home and they found out that I have a detached retiner, had to have an op on Tuesday.

It turned out 3 tears at the top and 1 at the bottom.

Been siting at home doing sweet fa for 3 weeks now, feeling a lot better and looking a little better ( lol )

I don't even know how or what caused it, I've not banged my head been in a crash and I certainly have not been fighting.

This was me when my mrs bought me home after the op

I've had the same, but had to endure 3 surgical operations involving putting a bit of plastic or something in my eye and the last one while I was awake with laser to repair it. The smell of burning flesh was horrible!

I, too, had no idea how it had happened. All OK now!

Scary stuff when you eyes are involved.

Rimex - both eyes, thats bad luck indeed.

Sounds like they are going to float the retina back up using a bubble and then zap it with the laser. That worked for me after two failed surgical ops.

I wish you the best of luck.

on the subject of eyes

i went to a funeral yesterday and saw a few old faces from 20 years ago
saw my old scud stan ,who was a pool shark in his youth sitting alone,
started chatting away bla bla your looking well etc etc

and he says who are you mate?

I'm thinking WTF?

another fella whispers at me

Stan is blind at 42

complications from diabetes

dunno why it really shocked me
