nothing that a hire company is getting rid of is scraped
it's all sent to auction
you just have to know where to look
dont expect to pick stuff up cheep
or fully working it will need tinkering
lots have a cracked plate
many wont run 9 times out of 10 all you need is carb cleaner to get it to run
many will need piston rings
on the other hand i picked up a belle 2011 model for 80 quid just needed 4 bolts 80 pence each dont think it had even been run in :D

you cant go wrong with the Honda gx engines

Thanks Bob, I've replied to your email.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm on the case for a Bomag or wacker now.

Dave will it be a second hand Bomag 18/45 for that price? I can't seem to find them new. I've got the websites for some dealers from bomag but their sites aren't very helpful. I'll give them a ring tomorrow.

I'm eying these up on ebay

I can't find any info on the spec for the first one.
