use kuterlite fittings if you dont want to solder copper pipe, there must be no water in the pipe to solder. was going to say crimped but you'll have no access to the kit needed.

You can buy Hep2o in large coils and run it in like cable.

I have 2 plastic pipes running from the loft, through the 1st floor and down to the ground. Both lengths are one continous lengths and buried into the wall.
No joints = no leaks.

If I remember rightly the only place you can't use plastic pipe is within one metre of the boiler.

We put a bathroom in using Hep 2o (Gold) i think it was called for one of the lads, top of the range stuff anyway as we were going belt and braces, all pipe work chased in walls and behind skirts etc.....

12 months later a major flood and we assumed we had forgot an insert on a joint, turns out it was a faulty copper ring in the joint, rep turned up checked the serial number and said rip it all out and they would cover the cost.

A rougue batch of copper had been used, must be thousands of joints out there ready to blow.

Pressed is the way to go, quick and clean and no frothy bubbles when you turn on the supply.
