Just curious about the typical costs of brickwork. Latest i got was brick on edge capping @ £15 per linear meter. Brickwork piers @%50 extra of brickwork price which was £475 per thousand. It's a 16m run with two returns either end which makes up 10m. There will be railings in between the piers. Wondering about the overall cost

who is getting 475 per thou?
no one i know
most lads on site get around £350 a thou ,piers included
£15 a lineal metre for brick on edge was a rate i used to use 7-8 years ago so is about right maybe a little high in these hard times
a decent trowel can lay approx 600 bricks a day on face work and maybe 200 on brick on edge (about 15 -20 metres)
most brickies are getting about £130 a day daywork now
I like a bit more than that
