Flaging indian stone - Thickness of stone

hi all.i have done quite a few patios in indian stone before.but recently we have lost a special person in the family.so we are doing a memorial garden.with donations raised from people what new him.the problem is people. what have never laid indian stone.are telling me that not calibrated flags are to thick.i know the people on this site are superb at doing an excellent job.so would like to no from the pros.what you think.thanks very much.

Calibration is good for everybody. It makes transport more efficient and cheaper. Arguably it is also quicker to lay. Agree with Tony though, if you know what you are doing then it wont matter a jot to a competent installer and it does not have any effect on how a finished patio will look. I think the majority of stone available these days is calibrated, variable thickness stone is a dying breed

This is getting to be seriously weird! It's as though queries answered by pages under construction are being deliberately planted here! One of the other pages I have on the verge of being published is....calibrated flagstones!
