Whats going on with that fetheredge? Its not level with rails ???

Paslode nails are too expensive for this type of work. I use coil nails in an air nailer.
Surely if the posts are level with the ground, and the gravel boards are nailed on at the correct level, that shouldn't have happened?
As you say, it looks alright at the front

maybe im missunderstanding you the gravel boards are level the last post is lower so the rails slope down its not the feather edge thats out its the rails

we always use passloads either with 65mm in the im350 one or the 64-30mm ones in the im65

the air nailers are great but its lugging a big compressor to site and having power for it etc, a gun hung off your belt is so much easier

mike couldnt you have transitioned from the bigger side fence to the smaller front or done the front the same height as the side?

i dont like the height of the side but its how they wanted it the customers allways right an all that .....

the time i would use feather edge is when on a slope, so it would'nt mater what the rails were doing. looks ok to me.

on the subject of fails,finished the step and bits tuesday and only when i stood back i noticed


for some bizarre reason the top step is 10 mm lower than it should have been,
i pointed it out and offered to redo it but the client couldnt see any problem and said leave it

I use a coil nailer for feather edge. I was under the impression i cant get short enough nails to fit a paslode that wont pop out the back of the arris rail? Either way micheal, when fencing the most important thing is true and level posts or it looks diy.

the smallest ring shank nail for the paslode is 50mm, other than that your dropping down to the smaller paslode which are pins for skirting etc and not suitable for fencing
