Sketchup

I'm getting better at the old sketchup and its easier to use than AutoCad! Sketchup is the way to go! and a decent renderer for the finished drawing (kerkythea recommended as its free).

I know what a soldier course is, and I know what a random layout is, but a random soldier course in Raj falgstones? I'm lost!

I have a very nice photie of Raj laid with a decorative soldier course of red clays if that's any help?
