must be summat about the connors name
my local connors since most of the family got locked up for slavery (they found a million cash in their caravan)
young jimmy connors has started up as ceasar construction limited
ceasar
looks the same to me,while i did my drive they did 5 in my road including 1 i had priced at £70 a metre
I asked the guy what they charged and he said £55 a metre
the whole lot done in a day
the shame of it is ,the poor sods doing the cutting in and screeding are top notch
just the lack of subbase, edge restraints and drainage mean they are doomed to fail
i spoke to planning about the lack of SUDS and they said its the home owner's responsibility so once they get paid thats it
they hit my part of town for a month and did around 20 drives, then moved to north luton and did 20 more
it must be human nature that people think they can get something for nothing

Good point Tony, it's unbelievable that this can go on today, it's like something from the Third world. You can bet that they're not the only ones doing it, their just the ones they've caught.
There's a camp by our yard, and the lanes around the area are always piled up with Fly tip, mainly drive dig outs and conifer/tree brash. We've seen them doing it, on their own doorstep, but nothing gets done, even when you report it. The Travellers like to harp on about how they're misunderstood, and stereotyped, yet conform to every stereotype there is?
One of our Labourers is Irish and he says back home there just as bad, completley lawless. Why are they allowed?

If the bleeding government would create a level playing field by exempting home improvements from VAT, it would do a lot to remove the advantage these cash-in-hand traders have over legitimate contractors and it would simultaneously give a much needed boost to the becalmed building trade.lutonlagerlout wrote:if no one had pikey's do their drives, gutters, etc then this couldnt happen
