Reinstating cobbles - How to lay cobbles for good ?

hi there people..
Im currently working for a buddhist centre , free of charge..
and reinstating a 2m wide by 10m long drive access have dug them out with the machine,fitted some surface drains and are now ready to lay the cobbles size ranging 50mm to 120mm river cobbles .. what is the best way to lay sub base is ready.

what mix to use should I use grit coarse sand 4to1 or 3to1 or should i add a 3.5 lime to the mix also?
was gonna do an sbr mix with cement to add to bonding?

should the mix be wet or semi dry?

and for pointing should i use a dry mix and spray with water or wet so i can make sure i get a good contact with the cobbles and push the mortar down with a tool ?

Was also thinking of using a accelerator frostproofer ?

would appreciate some advice from someone who as done the same, as i want to do it right fist time .. the access as vehicles delivering goods on it and a small gas tanker parks on it to access the gas tanks but not a road as such.

For certain sure adding Ronafix (SBR) into the bedding mortar and using it with cement as a primer will help.

The mortar will be stronger, tougher, water and frost proof and will last longer than a standard mortar.
