Id stay off it if you can, no point risking ruining it for the sake of a dry day.
Wet the whole area up with a hose pipe on a light spray. (If it dont piss down first) That will wash the sand into the joints, and then you can top them up and re-compact when it’s dry.

will do thanks for advice so is it okay to go over again with wacker as i was getting some bounce in place as it quite a big leuson wacker ive borrowed also does the speed of the wacker equal more or less vibration

If the plate is bouncing, you've reached the nirvana of "compaction to refusal" beyond which you will only damage the paving. You'll just have t rely on gravity and the weather to work the sand into the joints now, but you should be ok to drive on it as long as you avoid any sudden acceleration or deceleration, and NO point turns.

The travel speed of the plate has practically no effect on vibration. You want to be travelling at a slow walking pace and a couple of passes should be adquate.
