How about adding a safety chain inside where it can't be seen. So you have to pull the panel away a bit and then unhook.
Chances are a heavy weight panel won't fall forward but you never know.

always leave access our plumbers had to smash into a panel the other day as no access and then no matching tiles to repair. ive done them before and screwed them on with mirror screws.
