i keep a fair weight in tools, chains, etc in the back of mine properly 300-400kg handles a lot better with it in, back end gets a bit loose on sharp corner without it,Tony McC wrote:A sales mate rep (yes: it is possible, occasionally, for someone to be both a rep and a mate!) swore blind that he had to permanently carry three 3x2s on the floor in the back of his Navarra otherwise the brakes didn't work properly.

Im never going back to a pick up.....maybe a shogun commercial.
Bill my business partner has an L200 which we use for work, im going to use a the corsa just to nip around in for work, and use the L200 for heavier stuff.
The corsa is ace on fuel, 1.3 turbo diesel, like a little go kart lol.
Im going to get a nice car, something basic..... like a white bmw 335 ci

Navara has paid for itself for me. Got a bargain, it was 2 years old 40,000 miles on it when I got it for £7000
During the 2 crap winters we had I was the only one out and about delivering gas, everyone else was stuck in their yard. Downside was I was working from 4am until 11pm.
Looking into getting a smaller van though that runs on LPG, a berlingo or something converted so it's a flatbed. Will be a lot more efficient than running around town with a transit, a lot cheaper for me to buy LPG than diesel too.

I remember picking up a load of Porcenlenosa from their depot just outside Birmingham Airport. I hoofed the Toyota Hilux Invincible I was in into a dipped roundabout, thinking ,mistakenly, it would be like s**to a blanket, I found out it was not the case. It dodged about like I was on dough tyres.
Last time I ever wanted to have/drive a pick up.:p
