We are looking for between 100 and 250 patterned concrete slabs, 600mm x 600mm - the slabs have a grid pattern imprinted into each one, dividing them up into 25 squares to give the effect of 25 separate squares. We have been unable to source a manufacturer or supplier. Any ideas?

I've seen these before, but I don't recall the base pattern, which reveals them to be a pressed product rather than wet-cast. That immediately limits the number of possible suppliers.

The photo I have in my library was taken outside a hotel in that London, and that's the only place I have definitely seen them, which suggests they were local to London and/or the SE of England.

I've seen dozens of similar products which are wet-cast, but none of the manufacturers catalogues in my library show these as a pressed product. However, something at the back of my mind is suggests they may be from Townscape in the mid 1990s.

i say this very same flag today in a local merchants paving display panel. Walked part it a hundred times but never taken notice. It's by a company called Tyrock in Co Tyrone they also do flags with a basket weave and 45 herringbone pattern. The fella on the counter said they'd been on display for years and didn't know if they were still produced. On the phone so can't provide any links but i don't fancy your chances and even if they do have them it'll cost a fortune in groupage to get them to you. Good luck.
Can't see it from my house
