Despite the coverage given to the Revolution splitter, it is not the best machine from Montolit. We identified a couple of significant bugs with it during the trials; nothing major, nothing that stops it working or would prevent it making good clean cuts, but little niggles that we thought had the potential to irritate over a prolonged cutting-in session.

They were discussed with the Italians, and remedial action was promised, but nothing ever happened, and now the feature they sponsor on the website has been cancelled. Read into that what you will.

The old splitter, which is probably the one you have/had Ambient, is a far better machine. I still have one, too, as well as the new Revolution, and I'd go for the older machine every time. Luckily, the older model is still available.
