a lot of headscratching there dan, the drive had to be level as there was no way of introducing a fall
its hard to see but there is about a 25 mm rise in the middle and there is also a crossfall from the bay window of around 30mm
life would have been so much easier if it had fallen say 125mm from the house
we did find a previously hidden gully when we dug out so i have utilised that for the rainwater from the porch
the channel at the front i connected into an existing rainwater run that goes to the soakaway
got a bit of finishing to do and all done

Totally lame joke and the punch line is already defunct as a result of LLL’s post above…but what with all the forum time outs etc, posting it has become a battle of wills hehe :D

did my own drive this week after 8 years of humming and hawing

looks great, whats the next job....?

Refitting the downspout on the left of the porch as you look at it…but failing doing that, he will be convincing his missus that the wheelie bins are meant to be flooded and they are a water feature. :D :p

Joking and obvious nice job comments aside, I do like that porch…it has a certain rustic country cottage type vibe about it.
