have you looked through the lots?
pallet after pallet of hardcore
the reason they are auctioning it is that they cannot sell it

I go to house auctions quite a bit and its the same craic, houses next to motorways or with subsidence

I am sure there are some interesting bits if you want to sit through the other 1200 lots for 2 days
have a good un

When my mate was supposed to be selling his quarry/ stone yard, the auctioneers gave the stuff away. He's said he just wanted to get rid and had not put reserves on anything.

Approx 400 tons of perfectly workable random rubble walling stone went for £800 and two pallets of Yorkstone crazy paving went for a fiver.

This was summer 2008 when times were good and the country was awash with easy money. Can't see that auction achieving anything like the guide prices shown.

The granite kerbs would be a good buy I'd be happy with paying that for all of them but most of that stuff is just crap that's been badly stripped from some poor old building and has already been picked through for the best bits.
Can't see it from my house
