For the last 3 years, the scary lady advising me on how to prevent this site bankrupting me has been begging me to go a-Twittering and use Tweets or Twits or whatever to publicise new content and developments. Personally, I couldn't see the point of it all, but after a couple of months of almost non-stop nagging, I've hesitantly agreed to give it a go.

So: you can "follow" news about the site via @pavingexpert or this link

I've still not got me head around what 'hashtags' is or 'mentions', maybe I'm too old, but the scary lady is confident that I'll soon pick it up and that, according to her, I'm a "natural". Natural what, she hasn't specified but I suspect we are about to find out....

I'm a techno lover with every I product going and a about 5 macs but I'm not on twitter and I'm not going to be haha, seen some funny stuff though

That piercemorgan thing having ago at Bradley wiggins for disrespecting the monarch by not singing anthem,

Wiggins replied that how dissspointed he was pierce Morgan hadn't been arrasted for insider trading and phone hacking.

Haha

He could have added all the troops he endangered with those false photos as well

So I guess twitter has some uses :)

Don't be telling me stuff like this! The Scary Lady has spent months convincing me Tweetering is exactly what I need to be doing if I want to be down with the kids and all social-meejah aware.

But then again, maybe LLL's right - I *was* bullied into using it, but I dare you to call her a "Troll" to her face!

Twitter is crap, its for teenagers who want to follow flaky celebs. A facebook page would be far more appropriate for the pavingexpert website

Oh don't start on that bloody FaceAche stuff! She's been on about that, too, but I refuse to be associated with anything where the rule seems to be that you have to post a picture of yourself suffering a stroke while some eejit mate does the 'two fingers behind your head' in the background, and then boast about how many times you vomited on the last night out.

Anyway: who said I wasn't a flaky sleb?

I agree with the facebook page v twitter, facebook is visual which lends itself to this site, and it will be on every phone and tablet shortly

I opened a twitter account 2 years ago and just never got into it, dont need to know what Stephen Fry had for breakfast or whos arse Pierce Morgan is crawling up this week

Twitter is OK (I'm on it) but I find it is only any good for inflating celebrity egos!

Facebook would be far better Tony, certainly would get you some exposure, so-to-speak.

I'll follow you anyway! :)

Im on FB, but find it a bit of a grind. Its good for me with Bulgaria, can contact people I'd have no other way of talking to directly. Couldn't deal with Twatter too, you just end up endlessly reading and posting crap. Cant see the function of it TBH

The problem I have with FaceAche is that I've yet to be shown a business or commercially-orirented site that is worth looking at.

I know all three of The Reichskinder have pages where they post boasts about their nefarious exploits, and if you're into that friends'n'family side of thing, I'm sure it's very useful, but I'm still waiting to see a really good implementation from a business. So, if you know of any......

Going to setup my business facebook page this week. Pretty sure it will be one of the few good implementations. But it will be for my hen party side of things and Facebook lends itself to that very well. It's all social, they will want to put their comments and tag their photos etc

the old facebook was more suitable than the new timeline one. It was more basic easier to navigate and you could have an about yourself page that detailed your history and services
Can't see it from my house

Facebook isnt just for overthrowing african governments and perving you know.

I have a FB business page which brings in a few hits but its only been up and running for a couple of months, blogs seem to be easier to intergrate with an existing website with regard to being seen to be adding new/fresh content on a regular basis, but its all time consuming.

FB is easy to add links/content to its just a shame the search engines dont count it as fresh content to your whole/main site.
