I am about to lay a block paving path, (did the digging yesterday). There will be a another path joining it from the side, but this will not get laid for some time, the edging blocks are going to go round the outside of both paths.

What is a good way to support the blocks until such time as the other path is laid, I was thinking of some 3 by 2 wood fixed in with screw in tent pegs. Is there a better way?

personally i would finish the first path as a stand alone one, to completion, with your edgings on concrete as normal. When you come to do your other path treat it as a seperate path and leave the edgings in, or break out a section of edges to marry both 'old' and new path in
