So anyway I'm normally a modest man but I just wanted to share my latest masterpiece with some of you lesser mortals out there hopefully some day you may learn a thing or two from me and start producing work like this.
I've sculpted the paving to mimic the rolling hills of the irish countyside.
Image
Building sand is the finest I've ever used and I also made sure the centre of the paving was 150mm higher than the edges because I hate sports cars.
Image
Image
You'll note how I've not bothered to keep the kerb level that's for idiots also drainage channels should be higher than the area they're draining.
Image
When levels are a bit tight airbricks make a handy place to drain to.
Image
Half stretcher bond is the new stretcher bond so throw away the tape measure.
Image
Now that I've blown you all out of the water I reckon you should call it quits and come work for me.:blues:

I am of course taking the piss I could never do anything as good as this. This little cracker is being installed opposite an identical sized one we're doing and I just had do share it. It's taken 5 weeks so far by one fella who's getting paid for it.
I've never had a go at anyone before but he got both barrells and a hairdrying from me today which finished with me threatening to cut his throat if I ever saw him building another driveway. Client not about but I've got their number and will be contacting them in the morning I'm sure they're aware of how bad it is.
I honestly was close to splitting him in half.

i think if you do riverdance footstamping works ok

I have seen drives like this all over luton
its normally someone who has done a bit of labouring for a paving gang and think they have it sussed
they keep stopping and asking questions
"what comes after the type 1"? etc etc

its a shame all round
LLL :(

Wow, that's bad. The guy doing it must have looked at it each day and thought 'I'm doing a great job here, they're going to be so pleased'

Were the channels laid on sand?

edit: Had that happen to me last year Tony, idiots working next door asking me how to do stuff, whether you could attach a fence to a wall and how to do it, asking if they could borrow my tools etc

ps: Mick, stick your plastic trophy where the sun don't shine. This guy is the real deal :p

similar thing happened to my mate. He turned up to cut a lawn, and his regular customer decided to employ some idiots instead of asking him!
The job was to lay a base for a hot tub.
A pack of wickes finest slabs arrived, a tonne of sharp and a bag of cement.
Sand was spread of the un dug out grassed area, a bag of cement was raked into the top, and the slabs on top of that.
Bubble in the spirit level must have burst, and the wacker clearly ran out of fuel before the job began.
When my mate challenged them, he was threatened and sworn at repeatedly
Hot tub people refused to install.
She had the same people back to do a drive though :D
