I have laid 3x2 flags on a 100mm type 1 sub base and laid the flags onto compacted concrete sand. i misjudged the amount of hardcore required so the flags are sitting on 60-80mm compacted sand instead of recommended 40mm . Someone has told me that my patio will be ruined in 6months is this true need some advice folks or is it a case of lifting it????

Could lift and relay them in a day and you can be certain they won't go anywhere or leave them as they are and they may not move.
I've seen grey 3x2's just thrown down on soil and not move. I threw some down on 30-40mm of sharp sand at my yard and they haven't moved despite me leaving a few tonne of gas dumped on them and getting heavy traffic.
If it was me... I would just leave them be, and fix them if they do move.
