Im a brand new member and want to know whether indian sandstone is really suitable for a patio. From reading some of the old threads Im a bit dubious about using them. There seems to be some doubts expressed re their thickness and also flaking. I also get the impression that they are a bit of a pig to lay, especially for a beginner. Would i be better to choose something else?

Fine for a patio - have a read of this page. They're not as good as, say, Yorkstone or Donegal quartzite, but then they are far cheaper and work well for the vast majority of patio projects. I'm not a fan of their use for driveways, but for patios, they represent bloody good value for money.
