Hi - I'm looking to have a drive and path block paved. After reading through this site I'm going have a go at doing the path myself and see how I get on. I can only do it at night and weekends and wondered if I post pics etc some kind soul on here could advise me as I go along? I've started digging it out and have got half way so far. The depth from finished height I've got is 170mm. Any chance someone could help me as I go along?

Thx a lot, don't worry I am reading the main site. That's where I got the idea to have a go from. Job is to make a path round the side and front and then work out to have a go at the drive or get the pro's in. So far I've marked the height of the original slabs and dug down 170mm. Plan is to finish the digging this Sat then put some MOT1 down. I'm going to put 100mm MOT in then whack down to 90mm. Hopefully there's a photo attached to this mail so you can see the work so far. I'm still not 100% on best way to do the edges but will do some more reading. I plan to use the BSEATON tumble blocks which are 50mm. Thx in advance and hopefully it's going to look OK? What is your sub-grade like once dug? Nice and firm? As I would question whether 100mm of sub-base would be enough. Don't want to see your drive sunken and heaved all over the place in 4 years!
