I went to the external and traffix exhibition and it was great. Although I had seen all of the stuff in the external works section on this website the traffix exhibition was excellent and jam packed with new ideas. Are there anymore exhibitions? where? when?
What did other people think of the exhibition????

My review of EWx 2005 is in the News section of the website. Although I traipsed around Traffex and Parkex (and got a migraine thanks to all the flashing lights!), I've not reviewed those shows because it's too much work and there's less of direct relevence to the paving industry, when compared to EWx.
Glee, meantioned above by Ant Ambrose, is another show I attend every year, and other Brew Cabin Irregulars that have been tend to agree that it's a very interesting show, once you can see past the plant pots and other products that have no real interest for the likes of us.
Other shows that may be of interest...
Later this month is SED - Site Equipment Demonstration - at Milton Keynes. Lots of diggers and dumpers but also some very useful concrete working demonstrations. Last year's show was reviewed here and I'm hoping to upload a preview of this year's show later this week.
Later in the year (November, IIRC) is Civils 2005, a show that's usually part of the Interbuild extravaganza but has been hived off to stand on its own feet. Civils 2004 was also reviewed in the News section. There's also a Stone Show in Scotland and one in Dublin, and then there are fairly regular-ish Home-building and Renovation shows that are primarily targetted at self-builders rather than contractors.
As I mention in my review, EWx2005 was an exceptional show. Glee will be much as usual, I expect, with new product launches from the usual suspects, and, from what I've been told unofficially, a couple of new faces that will beef-up the paving industry presence. Civils is probably of more interest to groundworkers and site contractors than it is to the driveway/patio specialists, but there's always plenty to see, and if it's a wet, miserable day (as it often is in November!) then it can be a worthwhile ride out to Brum.
