Advice needed:pointing marshalls heritage

Patio flagstones (slabs), concrete flags, stone flags including yorkstone and imported flagstones.

Hi there

I have recently been laying a few Marshalls Heritage Patios for friends.Laid on sand cement 10:1 the patio has been looking good.The let down has been my pointing in which the joints seem to dry out and crumble all the time.I cannot seem to get a solid joint!I am using 4:1 Building Sand Cement with Plasticiser.Any advice appreciated :D

Have you read the Pointing Case Study on the main website?

Are you sure you're using fresh (ie: not more than a month old) cement??
