been on radio 2 all day this 2000% tax increase on fines in skip waste, guys saying skips gone from £180 to £800

so wonder whats going on, dont use skips that often but was interesting to know

our waste firm 3 shires recycles over 95 % of waste so the extra would have little effect
i can still remember when 8 ydrs were £25

I think the tax should be there to encourage recycling but not as high as it was.

thing was it was on the fines left over after recycling so no way of avoiding, woukd have just meant huge fly tipping increase

its like some of the councils now will not just let anyone in to dispose of waste...

they just have to go and clear it from the side of the road when its fly tipped.... its just crazy imo

They argue with me every time I go in, doesnt matter whether I have Transit with waste carriers license, navara or car with personal waste they argue every bloody time.

Its madness, there is a recession on and people are skint, why are they making things more expensive? It will definately increase flight tipping, not that the pikies around my way need an excuse. Drive around Middlesex/South Bucks and every layby is full of rubbish tipped by the Pikies.

I cant stand flight tipping, should be automatic prison IMO.
