Help.... I have had 60sq mtrs of flags laid on a bed of merseygrit and dry cement as instructed and within 6 months you can see what I can only describe as brown spotting appearing on the flags. This is not just happening to one offs but I would say 75% also getting small holes appearing. I have photos but not sure how to show them, do not have URL??? can attach though

Please help

Yep, i have seen this on the very same stone im not really allowed to mention names but it is a common buff riven 450mm x450mm concrete slab.

The producing company have no explanation but im of a mind that its a fault in the manufacturing process. We've not found a way to solve the issue

Does anyone think that by using a sealer will maybe not reslove but will make look better?

I doubt it. It'll look the same but shiny or matty.

Because the supplier has asked me to rectify the issue on their behalf and i dont want to complicate the issue. I will say they want us to acid wash the slabs and see what effect that has

I hope they're paying you to do testing that they should have done before the production stage.

I may of missed something here but I can't see how a acid wash or sealer could fill the holes in ?

i tried rogers patented jollop last night on some green garden furniture and that worked a treat
acid wash IME will slightly enhance the colour of wet cast concrete slabs, but it wont fix holes caused by manufacturing problems
