Please help, I am in the process of laying a patio at home (yes I am a DIY-er) but as my garden is on a slope I have had to make the patio semi terraced. I have used sandstone flags (India/Asian) and I am having lots of trouble with the edges as some of the flags are thinner than others this affects the depth of the bedding this seems to make the smaller flags very difficult to secure. there is a 40mm (2.5 inch in old money) overhang. :(

Use SBR to properly stick the flags down. Adjust your pattern so the bigger and thicker slabs are at the edge. Some crap quality sandstone can be as thin as 10mm which is no good for a 40mm overhang.
