sorry didn't mean to offend, I appreciate the advice. keep hold of your coat it could be cold up on the moral high ground in a years time when it has blocked.

what is going to the best thing to point round the upstanding part of the drain, based on getting access I was think of one of the injected mortars (instmac/easipoint), but I was hoping to point the whole patio and everything else with GFTK, which will flex with the black plastic? will I be able to trowel/pour GFTK in the gap?

any suggestions as to what product/mix is going to the best thing to point round the upstanding part of the linear drain, based on getting access I was think of one of the injected mortars (instmac/easipoint), but I was hoping to point the whole patio and everything else with GFTK, which will flex with the black plastic? will I be able to trowel/pour GFTK in the gap?

still unsure what to point them with? and how to avoid filling the brickslot with jointing material?

Cheers LL, you managed to answer my question while I was still trying to get all the photos to appear, I seem to only be able to link one picture per post.
