"Screed it out then mix up a slurry, usualy 50-50 cement and water, add a dollop of sbr".
A much better bonding method is a mortar gauged with Ronafix and water, 1:1, and a primer/slurry of Ronafix mixed with cement, 1:1Ronafix

I love laying slabs/CBP soldier courses on a nice bed of 10mm gen1 oversanded semi dry mix - try lifting them the next day!!
